I am very sad to report, we currently don't have an indoor track for this winter. The property owner has leased the building, house and land to someone for 24 months with an option to buy.

We had hoped the deal wouldn't go through.

So, I haven't given up just yet. this time last year we didn't have a building. Anything IS possible!!!

Please, keep you ears and eyes open for a building or arena to rent for at least 4 months. I have talked with some county officials to see of there is anything available. We had 25,000 square feet. That would be minimum to hold actual races.

Another option would be to rent something smaller for a practice track. Would require us to sell memberships. Not sure I want to do that, but still an option.

Have you approached the new owners? After all we are only going to use it for 4 months. Will they really be able to utilize it straight away?

Could we not find somthing a little closer. I would Bet that every one would like that. Something in Metro Area would be great even if it was in JAYHAWK LAND.

I think we just need to focus on getting an indoor track....period! Even if it is an hour away...I know my son raced better in those earlier nationals. We were at the indoor EVERY weekend. I know there are a lot of considerations when looking for a place to rent from the square footage to zoning issues. So if a place is found and it's an hour or even more away the Andrew's will still be there. We are not giving up hope!!
